Product Review: Burt's Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation With Meadowfoam - Natural Mineral Makeup, Made In USA, No Parabens, Phthalates, Petrolatum, Or Animal Testing Cruelty-Free Cosmetics
Hello everyone! Today I will review a cruelty-free natural mineral cosmetic liquid foundation for you all. The product that I will review today is the Burt's Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation with meadowfoam.
Cost: $7-$12 depending on where you buy it.
Shades: This foundation has a nice shade range. There are 18 shades available online, and unlike with most makeup brands, this Burt's Bees foundation has an almost equal number of light and dark shades. I counted around 7 shades for dark and tan skin tones: Chestnut, Cocoa, Rich Brown, Pecan, Maple, Rich Caramel, and Walnut.
Looking at this foundation, it looks really natural; the look of it reminds me a lot of a cc cream, it is just that natural. This foundation also does not seem to airbrush the skin, but it does cover things like sun spots and redness.
The shade that I purchased is lighter than my skin tone, so the lightness did take away some of my skin's natural glow. I think I would have gotten a more glowy effect if I got the right shade for my skin tone 😡.
Coverage: This foundation is almost full coverage; it is also buildable, so it has great coverage.
Eye Area: This foundation is great for the under eye area; it really moisturized this area, it reduced the appearance of fine lines greatly, and it reduced the darkness underneath my eyes a lot. This foundation also applied smoothly, so I think this will be a great foundation for older more mature skin.
Dry Skin: This foundation is great for dry skin; it really reduced the look of dryness and peeling on the dry areas of my skin greatly from the facial that I did the day before.
Smile Lines: This foundation did not settle into the lines around my mouth/my smile lines.
Application: This foundation blended out and applied easily with my fingers; it also reduced the appearance of pimples nicely. Interestingly, I did get better coverage with my fingers than with a beauty blender. The beauty blender seemed to just remove the foundation, so I liked how this foundation looked much more when applied with my fingers.
Wear: This foundation did get a bit oily after a few hours, so make sure to set it with powder.
